Chad: Community Pharmacy

Location - N’Djamena, Chad

Project Description

Access to affordable and essential medications remains a significant challenge for many families in Chad, particularly among marginalized groups. This proposal outlines the establishment of a community drug store that will dispense medications at minimal profit margins. Our aim is to enhance healthcare accessibility, promote well-being, and foster a sense of community responsibility. We will create a sustainable model that prioritizes health and social equity.

To ensure the long-term sustainability of the drug store:

● Minimal Profit Margins: The drug store will operate on minimal profit margins to keep medications affordable while covering basic operational costs.

● Community Engagement: Actively involving community members in the store’s operations will foster a sense of investment in its success, encouraging ongoing support and volunteerism.

● Partnerships with Local Suppliers: Establishing relationships with local suppliers will help secure lower prices for medications, enabling the drug store to continue serving the community effectively.
